However, it is way more complicated than our simple VO needs require, which is why a lot of folks prefer Sound Forge or Twisted Wave. (Or Cubase. Smile )
Trying out the quote procedure. Pro Tools is overkill for my application. I am very happy with AA3, If I could get the punch n'roll macro to work, I'd be ecstatic. FYI- Someone on Yahoo groups informed me that the MP3 Format option also converts the file in real time. Will put the Pro Tools stuff in moth balls until I have another use for it and chalk it up to one more expense in the learning curve of VO. I've got quite a mountain of gear I've tried and put aside in finding my ideal recording setup. There are no short cuts in the school of hard knocks.

Cubase? I'm assuming. you're speaking of the companion audio editor, Wavelab.. Because unless you're doing production, Cubase isn't any less complicated than PTools...

I just mentioned Cubase because I think Corey is using that.

Cubase is complex, true. I only brought it into the discussion in the context of the amount of time it takes to bounce a track.

I wouldn't recommend Cubase to any VO who isn't also a propellerhead. Smile
