I was eating a sandwich in the studio the other day, and suddenly I'm aware that I'm being watched... little mouse eyes asking (very nicely) if they could have some of the crust. A gentle capture and relocation ensued.

Maybe it's time I had a good spring-cleaning as well Wink

... and yes, he did get part of the sandwich.

On my recent trip to Tampa Bay, I was fortunate enough to not only have an excellent steak & kidney pie, I also was able to grab a couple of credible cornish pasties. YUM!!!

The deserted Main Street is quiet... tumbleweed rolls along the gutters... a lone carrion crow caws loudly, shattering the silence. Starting almost imperceptibly, a Sergio Leone theme starts to swell in the background as two dusty figures appear at opposite ends of the street. Both have their hands menacingly poised over the U87s mounted at their hip. Looking closely, we see the stubble on their chin, the spittle in the corner of their mouths, the facial tics. Today, only one of these mic-slingers will walk away intact. Today, only one voice survives. The music reaches a crescendo and abruptly stops. In the split second that follows, both brush aside the U87s and draw hidden foodstuffs from inside their battered leather coats... from one end flies a vicious green Romaine Lettuce, from the other, a deadly Cornish Pastie. We watch in slow motion as the foods find their target... Fade to black as the crow caws mournfully.

Cats and headphones do not co-exist. My cat chewed my Sennheiser headphone cable and it can't be repaired. So, ordering a new pair, but while waiting for them to arrive, I picked up a nice pair of "studio" 'phones at Target for 30 bucks to tide me over. #soundsdecentI'msurprised
