I love the look of everything, but it loads a little slow for me, and I'm on a industrial-strength DSL connection.

It loaded up just fine for me. I love it. Great looking and easy to navigate.

Dogone it, I was all set to rave about it, but then...

I decided to just say "DB, you have done it again! Another HIT in your credentials. This site for Mr. Fraley is right on target".

And you thought I was going to say somthing ba-a-a-d, didn't you?

Pat, Aren't you glad I didn't "rave", you would have been so embarassed...

Oh, No bugs from my end... no little critters on your end either. (Edit: after a better/longer look) I might suggest you put a description or title on each page... with a few word description of what it is about... "DB.com/voices Simply the best"

Toodles

Loaded just fine for me. I didn't find any missing links. Everything looks good.

Search engines aren't going to like the home, demos, or producing pages though since there is no text on them. Maybe it's not important for Pat but I thought I'd mention it.

Deirdre,

Things I like:

Just about everything. It looks wonderful. Keeps what was good about the old site and dresses it up very nicely.

Only other thought:

On my 4 Mbps cable modem I was surprised by the relative slowness of the home page loading the first time.

By the way, I clicked every link, including the bottom right "special" on the home page. Nothing broken. Everything worked just I expected it would.

I have not added the alt text yet.
It will be in the source, so it will be picked up.

I also wish I had the ability to have rollover images for the "add to cart" and "view cart" buttons, but I haven't been able to find a way to rectify them within the <form> code.

Also regarding slowness--

I don't know what to tell you about this!
The image for the index page is 344kb. Not a whale.

My assumption was this was a mock-up that still needed to be carved up, no?

BIG improvement over the old site, though.

Man that looks great! Easy to navigate and loaded right up for me. No problems at all with any of the pages.

Deirdre, it looks absolutely great.

On the 'teaching' page, did you mean for the books in 'visit the books page' to be a link? If so, it does not seem to be working.

I am assuming that you did not want his email address on that same page to be clickable.

In the 9 Critical Skills and Greatest Cartoon Voice Tricks popups there is no button for 'view cart' although that button does appear in all the other book popups.

Great job!

THANK YOU for catching this-- those were both discussed but accidentally not implemented. Now they both have been.

Thank you again!
I had an incorrect filename for the View Cart image.

All these things are so necessary.

I never browse full screen, so all the pages had scroll bars top and bottom - hate that.

Right now, for example, I have the screen set to show the usual width of the message board and the images seem framed more to the right side than centered. I use IE for PC - Windows XP.

And I also had some slow loading pages the first time I accessed - DSL.

It loaded half the page top to middle and then the bottom popped in.

I was thinking of you--really!

The only page with a display bigger than 800x600 pixels is the books for sale page, which is longer.

VO-BB has a dynamic set to it-- so it can really stretch or squash.

It's a term some web designers with whom I once worked used. Basically, you make a static JPG file of how you want the page to look and then cut it up into sections to use once you actually code the page. My site needs some heavy re-doing, but I used tables to align the pieces there. What I'm left with are graphics files for the top and left side, but the rest of the page is formatted text. So, in the end, I have a dozen smaller jpg files instead of one large file.

Not sure if that makes sense or not, but my brain is stuffy at the moment. Undecided

Greg
