Peter.... Be nice to Liz. I'm sure she smells lovely.

As for ACT.... It was created as a sales management tool, for managing sales forces and sales pipelines. For those who, like Liz, learn the ins and outs of the software, it can be a powerful tool for tracking account activity and account history. My wife is a power-user, and swears by it. She's also managed to teach her staff to use it and benefit from it, as well.

For the average VO, it's probably overkill.... but Liz ain't average, then, is she?

Wink

Freshbooks.com rocks for invoicing. My CPA is happy with the reports I provide at tax time from it as well.

I had been using Batchbook as well, but then got the idea I could do it better with a simple database like Bento. I was wrong. Probably heading back to Batchbook soon.

I've been using performertrack for managing my projects, and BillingBoss for my invoicing.

Billing Boss is going away in December, and being replaced with Sage One. Sage One does billing, but also I can manage my projects from within the program. So instead of entering projects in one place THEN billing in another, users can do both in one place. I think I'm going to transition to that once Billing Boss goes *poof*!

I use Quickbooks for invoicing and Daylite for contact management.
