RIP Philip, Michael and Dan.
All I've done so far today is TV promos. Session one easy enough straight read for CNBC. Session two was a multi script job for another station with an international platform, national podium, regional footstool and a local plinth. Michael was on the decks which makes him sound more "street" than "Dubbing", Dan was the supervising producer and I read out loud.
Marta, a Senior Producer needed me to voice a promo for a series called Angel (season two). As she wasn't there to direct we were left to do the biz. While we were getting ready I said something in a Scouse (liverpudlian) accent.
"We need to do a version of this promo in that accent" said Dan. Michael agreed. We did it a la Scouser and then did it properly.
Marta (Italian AND a creative) will see the fully mixed version later today and will be told that is the ONLY version ...Specifically the Scouse version.
Laugh today for, post Marta meltdown, tomorrow we die! |
