I see, you're from Ő-vik or perhaps even the 'fake' south city of Sundsvall.
Oh, screw this, I don't miss Boden, only the sentimental part of me. Spend most of my teenage and early adult life in Umeå, which I DO like.
Good to have a fellow viking in the West. |

I quite like Umea, too. (this thread has strayed quite a bit. Started with DB and ended up in Umea). |

See, this is educational for our international crowd. Ulf's reaction to the "north vs. south" debate is a trademark of Swedish males.
I still claim my home area to be Jötunheimr. My grandfather was a giant, and my mother was a hamster. Some relatives also smelled of elderberries. |

I may have seen a relative of yours when crossing Saltfjellet in Norway....or by that point in the drive, the lack of sleep may have just caused hallucinations... |

Probably Thordar. He tosses rocks and wishes he had a hammer. |

Swedes know Monty Python!
I'm impressed...well...as impressed as a French-American-Russian-Hungarian who lives on Brie, Red wine, COFFEE & snark can be.
So...is Boden north of St. Petersburg...and I ain't talkin' Florida!

Many Swedes know of Monty Python. I'm a huge fan.
Boden is faaar north of St. Petersburg, and even my hometown is about 600km (400 miles) above it. |
