I also have a much smaller ongoing barter with a friend who has a local cooking show on local cable tv. I voice little :15 sponsor liners for her and she keeps me awash in her own brand of fresh-roasted coffee. It's a GREAT deal for me. If you're a coffee fanatic like I am, I highly recommend her roast. Try ordering some:

For those NOT familiar with the Chapman stick, here is a BEAUTIFUL song extremely well done by Rob Martino on the stick. And no, I never got anywhere near this level of play:

Lucky, lucky dawg.....
I bought the nylon version of the very same guitar earlier this year, after comparing it side-by-side with the Taylor nylon. The Breedlove won hands-down. I love my Taylors, but the combination of the cedar top and the ovangkol lends the guitar such warm overtones, I just had to take it home. And that neck? What a dream to play. Shaved the saddle ever so slightly, and now it's a fingerpickin' monster.
As for the work product..... Nice job. You did them proud. I'm envious. I've still got the Breedlove Experience on my vacation bucket list.... a custom Bossa Nova, perhaps..... _________________ Don Brookshire

Nice payday indeed.
I had an old VO friend who years ago in exchange for voicing all of a Toyota dealer's spots got $1,500 a month and a nice Toyota to drive, all expenses paid. I don't think they make deals like that any more.... dang it.

Quick VO-related sidebar on The Stick:
Dan Chapman, a top-notch graphic designer who's responsible for Ed Victor's legendary "Big Gun" shotgun mic branding image, used the same mic from Ed's Dirry Harry homage in the production of a documentary on his brother Emmett, who's the inventor of...The Stick.
It's the circle of life, Simba.
