Saw some very nice Seinnheiser headphones on sale at the shop. But it DOES say something to the effect of quality headphones for DJs. So they are good for music, but what about for my purpose, of course, voiceover editing.
Any advice friends? Thanks! _________________ Intuit and do it!

You don't recall the model?
Personally I've been using the Sennheiser HD25 for about a decade, which is also regarded as a DJ type headphone by many (it isn't, actually but does a great job, lots of pro DJ swear by it). I even have the cheaper HD25-SP in my booth. Love them both. _________________ Regards,

Thanks Jacob, for coming to my rescue again! I'll jot down the model nos. you cited, and nip over to the shop. It's a really great price, so now I'll consider them seriously!
And thanks for your feedback, via google+, on the song I arranged and posted. _________________ Intuit and do it!

You're welcome, Stef.
One thing though: the SP25's aren't exactly cheap, even on sale. I just checked with DV247 (which, I asume you know of, being British! ) and the top-end HD-25-1 is £159.00 and the downgrade HD25-SP is £99.00. And of course, the comfort of wearing is another factor to be considered. They are both pretty tight on the ears and probably not comfortable for everyone. _________________ Regards,

Sadly, cheap Sennheisers really sound cheap to me (the $25 models). You've got to spend around $100 or more to get decent reproduction in your ears.

I've got the HD280 Pros and they tend to be rather bass heavy. I run them through a mixer and have to dink with the EQ settings. But once that's done, they sound great and are comfortable. _________________ Jeff

HD25's has that too. Probably one of the reasons DJ's love them _________________ Regards,

Best cheap Senny's is the HD201, IMHO. NOT bass heavy, comfortable, and reasonably accurate. Headphones are as personal as they come, you must try them to know for sure if you'll like them. I don't like on-ear cans like the HD25's, my pinna get sore pretty quickly. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

You guys are right, my ears are getting a bit squished. But I'm trying to move them around to find a comfortable position. I couldn't find the ones you recommended Jacob, but I got some decent middle range ones -- not the cheapest of the line. The sales guy was quite knowledgeable as he owns the ones you have and several other models as well. He's mad for Seinnheiser, so I told him what I wanted them for and then just took his advice. _________________ Intuit and do it!
