Welcome aboard Rob. From another 20 year radio vet now inching ever so closer to the full-time VO world (well hopefully someday) I can understand why you want to do this so bad. I listened to your demo and I hear lots of potential. You have a nice clear and natural delivery. Keep practicing and reading aloud, keep working with the coach and soak up everything you can on this board. There are posts on here that go way back but you can glean lots of information from them. And one more thing, don't go cheap when doing your first demo. Get it done first class and if you can make enough off of it to pay for it within the first year I would say you're off to a great start. I wish you the best.

That pic was taken at my wife's 30 year class reunion and I was tired...

Assuming that is your lovely wife in the picture, that's either a typo, meaning her 10 yr reunion - - or you were telling us that they are having a class reunion for 30 yr olds.

Actually, given the size of Opp it's a bit scary to me that so many people here on the board know where it is and have been there.

Wow! I too am very surprised there are that many people on this board who know of Opp...and have been here! Geez...next time any of you are down this way, gimme a ring and we'll have an adult beverage (or two).

Looks more like her 30th birthday than her 30-year school reunion. She must have graduated awful young.

The lovely in the pic is indeed my wife. She graduated in 1976...so it was her 30 year reunion. She appreciates the compliments very much...AND Mike, your skill with Photoshop. She enjoyed the look on her face! She wanted to know if you used a software called Kai's PowerGoo for the facial effects? I have that piece of software and it's immense fun. Turns any image into "digital silly putty."

Rob,

I do INDEED fondly remember Z 107. One thing I really used to like was on the 4th of July " Freedon Fest" where they would brodcast live from concerts(the one that sticks out is a Chicago concert- it was GREAT). I also remember Christi and Carson in the mornings. Paul Christi currently has a show on an Oldies station 107(how ironic)

And BTW Allen, I think Enterprize is a nice little town also( when I was at Ft Rucker I used to eat lunch at that Chinese Buffet place out the back gate) BUT, I heard no mention the FAMOUS Boll Weavel Statue !!! LOL
