So does that mean you don't like the Joly mod?

Not at all. There are a number of good mods out there so I thought I would throw Klaus into the mix and database for others that want options for the future.

+1 Klaus. There is no one better. So save your pennies.

Well the Joly mod sounds great to my ears. A clear winner in your test. You've got to be happy with that - yes?

My mic stand wears ankle weights.

I am quite happy with the Joly mod so far. I have room to dance without falling out of the sweetspot.

Now I have to finish the pantry so I can work on my room!

(must find a good door in my area, to avoid shipping costs)

Nice test. I liked, in order...

RE-20 smooth, clean esssses. Less room ambience. Good for commercial work.

KSM-44 neutral with no vices.

NT1A hollow sounding. Might sound better worked closer than 16 inches

The NT1-a actually picked up some of the hollowness of the Wenger Booth, but I agree. move in a bit more and it's fine. I need to get a pop filter in front of it too.

The RE-20 still has a place in my mic closet. The Shure, in my opinion, just needs some eq love to sound better.

I'm using the Rode for a series of educational reads, and I'm liking it more and more.
