Thanks, Greg.

Jeff - Good point, and very true. Who wants to be confused with "Death Perception" ?

Both of these comments are very encouraging for the change. I'll mull over a new title. Helps a multitude. Thanks, again.

Guys, for a title, how is:

Vanguardian Vantage Theatrical Talents

I have my critiques and reasons to this already, but would love to hear your external opinion.

Thanks,

DP

were i you, i'd re-read this:
Scott Pollak wrote:
This is not a comment directed specifically at this card's design, but somewhat at a lot of the stuff we try to come up with, overall, to differentiate ourselves or stand out from the crowd.

Sometimes we try to get TOO clever, or TOO cutting-edge or TOO abstract, thinking it'll make us stand out from the crowd. And perhaps it will, but in a productive way or not?

Remember, the goal is not to stand out from the crowd, but to generate work. If standing out from the crowd accomplishes that, GREAT! But to stand out or be innovative purely for the sake of being innovative can be detrimental if it leaves the potential client scratching their head ...

Thanks Diane. That was exactly what my only critique to this was.

Other than it sounds like pure nonsense,
it actually doesn't mean anything useful to what I think you want to do,
it's an awkward mouthful,
it's hard to remember,
the term "vanguardian" is actually used by a theater organization already (Google it!!),
and I think you're asking the wrong people the wrong question....

...other than all that, it's kind of meh.

If we're still talking about voiceover, what about using your actual name? Make that a brand people remember. With the exception of rappers (Fitty cent, Ice Tube, whatever) most people in the performing world get along fine with their own name or one that sounds like it could be a real name, not a slogan.

Thanks, Bruce. You're on point, and would have to agree.

I did google all this a few weeks ago and only found 'Vanguard' to be of use; but now I am seeing Vanguardian, and definitely set against it.

I would use my name, and that is normally the first thing that comes to mind, but since Danielpierce.com has already been taken, I began to venture into different handles.

Suppose it wouldn't hurt (thought done to death, but then it isn't a failing proposition either) to add on "talent" "actor" "vo" "voiceover" "voicetalent" ect.

Thanks,

Cheers.

danielpiercevoiceover.com might do the trick.

Thanks, Diane. You may have waived that one into existence.

Nix the business cards. Put put your money into VO coaching, acting and improve.

Thanks, Mike but as you know my friend, it does make distributing your info to those that you meet on a daily basis much easier.

Daniel, what mike is saying is: DO NOT distribute the info (demo) you currently have. It will do you more harm than good. Over the past (months) we've been trying to help. Slow down. Back up. Get some training. Don't worry about things like websites & business cards.

I understand that Mike. I'm primarily concerned with the contact info there.

Thanks

What I'm speaking of is when you meet someone I can produce/work/wrtie/act/help it's much more beneficial to have a card then to write it down or get lost in the notes. Not just for the sake of Voice Over, but primarily for contact distribution

You need a product you can sell before you need business cards and websites and logos and slogans. Having listened to your demo on the other post here, I'd say you don't have anything to sell yet, nothing that producers want to buy.

Product first, marketing second.
