The only thing you need to remember--about anything are these words:

BANKSEY'S RIGHT.

Or perhaps, more appropriate:

WWBD?.

What would Banksey do?

I'm far too modest to say such a thing, it's true, but I'm still far too modest to say cool

I resent your sarcasm. I and all others on this board are bona fide experts and our wisdom is beyond reproach.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a great deal of sand to remove from about my head.

"I reject your reality and substitute my own!!" -Myth Buster Dude

Indeed, I absolutely loooooooovvvvveeeeeeee people that speak things and act as if it is gospel. If I can get away with it, I like to drop a little " so let it be written....so let it be done" on them when they are done ranting. Good times!

I rather thought Joe's right hand was insanely fast, yet quiet.....maybe he is one of the Incredibles. His hand was near hummingbird speeds. Amazing stuff.

Joe. You need to get on with the job and not waste time. You don't need a photo on your web site it puts people off. Because of background noise keep your mic well away from your other gear. A Neumann U87 is over kill for VO work, too much top, bottom and middle. Never wear cans during a session. You will give a good performance only while standing. ISDN is dead technology so there is no point in getting it, no real work in that market. It's worth mentioning that to do TV work you need to see the pictures and it's difficult to move from radio into TV work

By the way Joe. Search this site for more valuable advice from the experts. Laugh

Priceless...just priceless! ROTFLMAO !!!!

Banksey-
ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY! This is more of the mind taffy Anthony spoke of in another post. It's what works for you so find out what that is and you'll make a fortune doing it. I was dying to know when he filled out the sheet to "get paid" just how much that would be. I know it's crass but any guesses out there?

Probably fifty bucks or so. I hear that's the going rate these days for voice work.

...oh, wait. You mean he didn't get that gig via V123? Never mind.

*nonchalant whistle*

JUST A COTTON-PICKIN MINUTE! $50??? Jeez and here I thought the line was, "We can pay five bucks a page... but you'll be doing 200 pages, so it's good money"...

This was just great, thanks for posting it.

And as always, Banksey, I agree with your words of wisdom. Especially about taking the cans off. But I'm curious, how many of you always stand when working?
