Taking a break from steam cleaning the carpets in the house. (The wife wants them clean for the holidays). Anyway, I just finished the studio. Wow it was nasty. Looks like a combination of sheetrock dust from the booth construction along with a good mix of pet hair from Millie's favorite sleeping spot. Ewww.

I just had to share.

i did a minor studio mod which included eliminating a desk for a wall of counter top. WOAH! lots of ... well ... stuff can accumulate behind a desk in 5 years! i think i had enough dog hair to make another dog.

I too found that my studio carpet needed to be replaced last week. Leave it to my wife to find not one, not two but three area rugs shaped like surfboards and a new square rug for under my console all for under 20 bucks at Ross. Nice to have the tile covered again... now I can mix with verb as a plug in, not a room!

i'm safe. you can't even GET to the carpet at my place, let alone have enough room to run any cleaning machine over it. although when i moved some equipment recently, it was surprising to see what color it used to be.

I love my house. We bought it a couple of years ago, and there's only one thing about it I'm not fond of:

The carpets. They're coming out as soon as I can swing the funds for tile and laminate. I want to go back in time and find the guy who invented wall-to-wall carpets and give him a flying junk-punch.

"Yeah, let's put something on the floor that you can't wash or sweep and collects dirt- Oh and it STAINS TOO! BONUS!"

Feh.

Having been to Rowell's place I can concur he has no need to clean his carpets. I didn't even realize he had carpet, lol.

We cleaned the carpets when we moved in. Then I did it today. Wow, I'm doing that a little more often. And I have to say I'm impressed with the $25 rug doctor rental machine. Of course I had to use 2 bottles of the cleaner at $25 bucks a pop but that was still cheaper than when I paid a guy to do it. Money well spent.

Laundry, the CPU fans, dusting. Tomorrow is another day. 11 days are another year, something something poetic. Time to go find another beer.
