My wife has a cat......yes, I don't claim him. He is a big orange tiger cat and he has the most attitude I have ever seen on an animal ever. He has thumbs on both of his front paws and I swear one day he is going to run out the door and throw on a small cat-sized leather jacket...light a cigarette and hitch-hike his way to stardom as the next Morris.
Anyway, the point of my post. I have never really called this cat by his real name, which is Gabrielle or Gabe. I call him everything else under the sun. And he must have, at last count, 25 nicknames. Here is a list. Beware some of these are pretty odd/dumb since they evolved out of other previous nicknames:
Monkey
Beans
Monketta Bean
Monkelburg Stew
Meeser
LOD (little orange dude)
BOD (big orange dude, since he now tips the scales at 17 pounds)
Little Itty Biddy Meeser Man
Skeeter
Skeets
Mini Tiger
Bud
And I will save you from the rest....Anybody else care to share some of your weird nicknames for your pets? _________________ Ben

Here's a friend for Ben's wife's cat. One of the kids took this picture on a Parisian street and called the cat "BadtotheBone".

My dog in the avatar looker's right is Nebo, named after the highest peak in Utah's Wasatch Range. He's also known as White Cloud, Nebolo Bosto, BoBo, Great White Wolf, Peter (for Peter Wolf), Neebies and Neborino. He's currently battling osteosarcoma, hobbling about, and Momma (the author) is coming to terms with his impending crossing of the Rainbow Bridge.
The kid, toughest of them all in avatar looker's left is Mika (mee-kuh), a girl's name for a boy dog. He came with it. He's known affectionately, lately, as Chubby, Fatty, Chunka, and Jimmy (for Jimmy Dean), is sometimes called Frika and MikaMoo and BooBoo and Little Boy, and his dog tag says Prince Bratwurst of The Mall (...of them all) _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. The one on the left is Dancer (apparently her 'real' name is Northern Dancer - but when I got her a couple of years ago she was all screwed up - and no wonder - she thought she was supposed to be a horse!) aka Doodlebug.
The one on the right is Farfel aka Fushkeit (the u is some where between a u sound and an oo sound).
Then there's the cat Mishahu aka mush-mush (see comments on 'u' above).

Our five year old Shepador's name is Tasha, but depending on her (and my) mood, she'll be called Nutsy, Crazy, Moose and occasionally &$#(*!.

Okay - we have no real nickname for him, other than Bubba. His name, however, is Draco.
The better part of this story is once we were asked what kind of dog he is... our reply was anything but creative. We responded, "He's half dachshund and half chihuahua", to which my neice replied, "So, he's a Beaner-Weiner?"
We were amused.
Here he is:

Von VII (we got him outside the Vons and he was one of seven kittens) is Vonster the Monster, VonnieBaby, VON!!! (screamed at him when his feral side kicks in inside the house - the little s*&t...oh yeah - that's another name - Little S*&t).
Alexia, the Alpha female (which makes the dog nuts) is Lexie Lou, Lexie, Lex, Dirt Ball, Dirt Cat, Big Girl, Beached Whale, Fat Cat.
Peaches, the oldest cat is Peachie Poo, Fuzz Butt, Fur Ball.
Bailey the 11 year-old female German Shepherd with the big bad boy dog bark is Baily Girl or Sweet Girl

www.kittyklips.com...no it is NOT a kitty bondage site. It is a "share ware" idea for keeping cats confined within a fenced yard. _________________ Playing for a living...

This is Meeser. I finally convinced him to take off his cat leather jacket and put out his cigarette to come in a be a good cat. Since he has thumbs he was planning on hitch-hiking away to the west coast.
