Hi Bob,

Yeah, I tried that. Doesn't work. Frustrating stuff.

Since I don't produce anything in PT, I am not a pro at it. Only run sessions through and use the 002 as a virtual mixer.

Hi Diane! Wink

Ben - here's a link that may or may not help. http://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-computers/432713-protools-stuck-permanent-pre-roll.html

I had a glimmer of hope there, Joe. But no....the guy on there had issues with playback. Although, some of their suggestions made me check some other preference options.... only with no luck.

My issue is that is seems I am getting a 4 second count off with the playback and record buttons flashing and then recording starts. It seems systematic as if I clicked on some sort of 4 second pre-roll delay or count off.

I have since started a new session for auditions and it works fine.

However, it did become quite a challenge to see if I could figure it out. And I still have not. Gotta love PT.

Thanks for the info though.

Can you reinstall without a lot of hassle?

Well, that would probably be a lot more hassle than it is worth. Every other session works fine. It was just this one session that has the mystery count off that got added somehow.

Opening a new session and adding in all the plugs that I used for the old audition session has worked fine. I guess I just wanted to figure this out so I know what not to hit next time....ie shortcut etc.
