Hey US Gang—
Who do you use for your ISDN Long Distance carrier?
I just read something about Accunet.
ATT is 20-30 cents per minute.
I know I will rarely if EVAR dialing out, but I want to be sure I don't get scalped if I ever have to. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Deirdre,
Be very careful what long distance you get. Most companies won't give you the full bandwidth in your ISDN calls and you won't be able to connect. I use Sprint and pay about 10 cents per minute per line, with a $10 per month minimum fee. Sprint was Dave Immer's recommendation. That was good enough for me. _________________ Be well,

I automatically chose Sprint, and now I'm glad I did.

I went with [strike]ATT [/strike] MCI because I was issued some dire warning that it was the only long distance provider for our area that provided full bandwidth, so I was afraid of using anyone else!
(Edited to "change" ATT to MCI, because I'm not very bright.) _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

MCI here. I have an old rate they are letting me keep of $3.95 per month and $2 for the additional line...plus taxes etc. The state to state rate is $0.09 per minute. I don't dial out much.
But....just recently, I got a bill for $119 of long distance because I dialed a studio after they had problems connecting to my box. Little did I know that one of my lines had been cancelled for long distance service. MCI said my local company Century Link cancelled the LD service. They finally agreed to credit the charges at the agreed upon .09 per minute after talking to someone in Manila for half an hour. _________________ Ben

Sprint changed their name here in Vegas to Embarq, then Century Link....but I still have the Sprint LD service that carries my outgoing ISDN calls -- and it's just what Bob quoted.

I use Sprint (well actually almost never use 'cause I rarely dial out) and they're 7.5 cents per minute per line and something like $8 per month for the privilege of letting them bill me.

Just curious; what sort of rates do you guys pay in the States for ISDN line rental?
Here in the UK I believe it works out to around £100 - that's about $150 per month. I'm not sure that includes any calls these days - just line rental. |

If I recall Banksey pays a lot less up in Scotland than you do. Hmmm.
My two lines are $85 per month total which seems to be about the average rate across the US.

The rate I quoted was per quarter - not per month. Over hasty typing fingers! Duh! |
