|
|
Hey folks, if anyone is interested, I posted a write-up of a recent master class I took with Barbara Rosenblat on audio book technique here in Chicago.
http://www.adamverner.com/blog/2010/03/17/master-class-with-barbara-rosenblat/
Learned a few good technique nuggets, and some nice quotes. _________________ Adam

My favourite quote is "the Meryl Streep of the audio book world". I've often been called the Philip Banks of the Voiceoverist world. |

Thanks for the post, Adam!
It's very interesting that she says to ALWAYS wear headphones. Any other audiobook folks feel that way, too? I wonder if it makes a difference whether you're self-directing or not. |

It's a personal preference. When I'm recording "alone" and producing I use headphones, If someone is engineering and/or directing I do not.

And the people who call you that are absolutely correct.
Usually. _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

Barbara is a gem. I got to work with her at a National Audio Theater Festival a few years back. Nice lady and immensely talented. |
