OK, I sent Chris at FuzzMeasure a booth measurement and he made some calculations in Version 3, which he forwarded:
According to Chris: Anything below 0 should be considered a failure at that band. There are many things that could cause these issues, but mostly it's a SNR issue at a particular band. Because this is a reverberation time estimate, it doesn't always work out in all situations.
In your case, the problem is made a little bit worse by the fact that you're measuring really small reverberation times. It's not really the best way to gauge what you're doing when compared to a waterfall.
Any thoughts? I'll attach a post a couple sound samples as well. Thx! _________________ www.chriskoprowski.com/en |

These tests are mostly used for listening environments, that is to say, a space where monitors are placed in a specific area in the room and the listening position is also in a specific area.
Understanding that you are trying to test a very small booth intended for a different purpose.
Looking at your waterfall, you can see that you are having a problem at 2k, this maybe "coincidence" from the problems down in bass, or an anomaly.
If this were a larger room I would say more bass trapping is needed; in your small booth I would say the same thing, but do you have the room to add another 2" of glass and a 4 inch air gap behind it?
Another problem may be the design of the booth itself; the front half of your booth is angled, and could be adding to the problem.
The only thing I can suggest is add another 2 inches of absorption, and see what happens. This is all apart of tuning in a booth. _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong.

Of course the information out of context is not helpful because you have not taken any releative temperature or humidity readings |

That sounds good Chris, and better than many working talents I've heard.
What I like best about the sound of that - is you. There's an extra likability and engaged tone in your read, even though it's just a tech sample. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

Glad to hear the samples sound OK!
I sent the charts to a friend who teaches sound, music, acoustics at the university level. His first reaction to the 2K resonance was that it was coming from the speaker or tweeter itself.
Would a 'clap' test be helpful? The booth did pass the SaVoa tech requirements. _________________ www.chriskoprowski.com/en |

Chris, your booth and mics are fine.
Enough paralysis by analysis!
Now it's time to work on the "acting" part of voice acting. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Sorry for being a booth geek...it is a fun pet project to try to tune a small booth. I did sink a lot of time and money into it so just want to make sure things are at a semi-pro standard. Hope I don't seem too absorbed or obsessive about it. I don't require anyone to keep up with my posts if they're not interested. Thx! _________________ www.chriskoprowski.com/en |

I know that, Chris, and you're certainly not pestering anyone here.
I want to warn you away from keeping your gear goggles on too much.
Keep working on your delivery with the same fervor as you devote to your gear, and don't listen to Banksey when he's being naughty. _________________ DBCooperVO.com
