VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

the fall colors were BEAUTIFUL here ... for about 10 minutes. i missed most of it. we took a drive down to the family farm yesterday to clear up a "fence issue" so i snapped a few shots anyhow. btw - this is about 30 minutes from courvo's old stompin' grounds in "the cape".

the top of the hill in the background is the southern-most boundary

can't keep boys out of a creek

So we got about half a summer and ten minutes of fall. Sorry skiers and snowboarders, but I hope we get similarly cheated out of winter.

boy #3 wanted to see where we were yesterday so we went to google maps - thought i'd share that too. the outlined area is our little farm, the line points to the field where the pictures were taken.

we've got 160 acres ... certainly not considered huge around here where you see farms of 3,000 - 5,000 - 7,000 acres. we don't farm much, though. we put the top two fields in clover this year on a government wildlife program, and the thicket on the north-end has about 3,000 oak & ash trees we planted about ten years ago on another government conservation program. it is great, though, to be able to go and walk ... or just sit ... and not be bothered by anything or anyone. i like going with the boys ... but even better by myself.
