I knew quite a few students of Chinese in my time at university, and I loved hearing how the Chinese created words for new things. Their word for "electricity" uses the symbols for "rain" and "kite".

Today I know enough to order dim sum and that's about it.

Thanks for the resource!

After going through many different ones during my stay in Taiwan, I was going to suggest my favorite. But now I see its just a Hong Kong localised version of one you posted. http://hk.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php

Your'e welcome Bruce. I've been working a on project with Chinese and Chocolate. Rather interesting combo.

Rain and Kite is pretty funny!

There may be some regional dialect differences in the Hong Kong version.
