Very noisey and I don't have my headphones at a very high level so would only ever hear the most conspicuous of mic noise. Rather than warming and rounding the sound it just flattened and fuzzed it. I think it's a mic that puts the voice 2nd in the recording chain.
You know when you hear something that's not wrong but there is something not quite right with it, that's what my ears detected with the M147. With the Lawson you don't hear the mic in an obtrusive way. |

+1 for the Lawson.
I also have the L47FET...a real gem of a mic. Does all I need it to do.
I would like to have an L251 to go along with it...then with the quick-change
system, I'd have FOUR mics
Enjoy the Lawson! It's teh kewl

YES! Thank you Philip. My new standard reply for many mics when asked, "What do you think of....." That's Perfect. Exactly what I'm talking about.

Well "Lawson" arricved today and I'm very happy. This mic has more personality than anything I've ever used and compared to the TLM 103 it's very much bigger and more responsive. |
