The Matrox G450 will clone/mirror, extend the desktop (I like this feature for editing), and can become a separate desktop as well (not sure I would want this feature, but it is there).
Just so you know.
Since you are only looking to clone the video monitor Kara, think about the simple solution... a "Y" splitter.

If you are squeamish about inserting a PCI card into your tower, there are several USB-VGA adapters that will work just fine for your needs.
Here's one.
Be patient, dual displays in clone (mirror) mode can be a little wonky in Windows. Make sure they are both the same aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:10 widescreen).
I am really curious about this unit. How cool could that be? You could make it a dedicated Pro Tools control panel! _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Thanks for the link George! I don't mind getting into the computer, I just try to avoid making any changes unless I absolutely have to (you know, Pro Tools being so willing to accept new programs and all )
I like the USB idea- and the second link you posted is WAY cool! I went to Staples and Radio Shack yesterday, but had no luck. It looks like I won't be able to get a Y cable long enough- so I'll be doing the video card or USB thing.
Once again, the info in this thread has helped more than you can know!! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

There's actually a couple of good videos on replacing your video card on YouTube. If you want to see it done before digging in yourself.
Here's an example.
