My new co-worker has a super bassy voice. He is also from the deep south. I've been working with his voice/diction, but can't seem to make his bassy voice sound clear and clean. Any tips? We use Audition as our audio editor. Thanks!

How close to the mic does he work? If closer than 6 inches move him back. Ensure all eq settings are 0db gain. Perhaps you could post an mp3 sample.
