So I've been out of radio for a little over a year now. As such I thought it might be time to do some tinkering with my commercial demo this Spring. I got some feedback from some other v-o peeps over the past couple of months and tinkered some more. Here's where I'm at now:

Any feedback is greatly appreciated... thanky!

Chris,

I'd end your demo right about the 1:00 minute mark. It's a very nice, clean, contemporary and youthful sound that should get you a ton of work. But, after the first minute you've included a couple of items with a more "hyped" delivery that I don't think help your cause.

Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to listen, Bob! Hope you're right about the "get you a ton of work" part! Money Mouth

I concur with Bob. Drop the last third and you've got a great demo. I'd be torn between leading with either the second or first cut....whichever is closest to the quintessential you should go first.

Thanks Bruce, for the kind words and for taking the time to listen! The more I listen to the last couple of clips, the more unnecessary they do sound.

I've also heard from a couple of people that say it's lacking a little in the acting department, that there's nothing on there where I'm really connecting with the listener or the copy, and not taking any risks... I think when I audition I'm going to start recording some additional takes just experimenting with the copy, not to send to the client (unless it really clicks) but to help me figure out what I can do to stand out from the crowd.

Thanks again!
