You know, I didn't even pursue it any further once the noise went away when I switched the strip off. I guess I could investigate a little more, but right now I'm relishing the relative quiet.  |

Good call. I checked it out. The strip itself seems fine. It's the A/C adapter for the JBL computer speakers that's causing the noise. Thanks. |

Was it crossing a cable or is it just going bad. Run a test by isolating it from any other cords and see if the sound returns.
