I've been asked to attend their national convention in NYC today to speak to students & aspiring professionals. What kind of advice should I give?

Keep it real. But keep it positive. You have a great story to tell about you.
Have fun with it and good luck.

- That it's not all about the voice
- study marketing
- learn about different subjects as you'll need a good vocabulary
- read aloud everyday
- and...actually Todd...accounting too 'cause ya gotte know how to keep your books!
- don't be a Diva (that applies to guys too!) Get Lost
- make friends 'cause this biz is all about relationships.

It's a start! Laugh

Don't carry all your money in your wallet. Carry large bills in your bra.
... that would be for the ladies at the convention.

I had a GREAT time last night! I talked to a few dozen college students from around the country about the VO industry. They were bright, eager, and asked some great questions. It was fun!
