Soundgun is absolutely correct once again (which is no surprise)...this is exactly how I have my set up and all it takes is just an alt 3-4/mute button push and an alt 3-4-to-headphone button push and I can monitor the caller without recording the caller. I can un-mute the caller if I then want the caller in the recorded file for something like a podcast. I can also send audio down the phone line because I have my audio return on channel 7/8 on the board instead of using the aux send/receive to and from the PC. (I have recently installed the Echo Mia and like it much better than the USB interface I was using) _________________ Does life start at 40? |

I have one of the JK ones...I remember spending an hour or two fiddling with it to get it to work, but ever since getting it set up right it's been fine. Records me on one channel and the caller on the other. Easy peasy. And I just plugged it into one of the unused inputs on the back of my EMU's breakout box (no additional mixer). _________________ Lou Zucaro

Thanks for reminding me about the Alt 3/4 bus! I edited my previous response and the FAQ. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
