I'm sure the answer is just. right. there. but the more I crunch numbers, the further it seems from my addled mind.

Short of opening and counting up every finished minute of a multi-module project, I need to figure out entire length. Files have been recorded and named separately so, no, I don't have one entire wave.

I want to look at the total Kb or Mb and then figure out the number of finished minutes.

Eeez theeez posseeeble?

Thanks in advance.

At 128kps mono mp3 it's 0.015mb per second
44.1 WAV mono 0.084mb per second

That should get you close enough.

Or, 16 KB 44.1 or 48 kHz Mono/stereo = 940 KB (size on disk, 938 KB actual size) per minute.

Take the total amount of MB in the projects file folder and divide by 940, the result will give you the finished minutes on your hard disk.

Of course that's in Stereo. Mono is half that if you're sending a voice only file, and we do send our voice-only files in mono, don't we?? We've just got to stop wasting all that bandwidth! We've got to conserve all those 10101010's! Where will our children and grandchildren get their electrons if we use them all up needlessly today with extra, unwanted audio?

I mean quarks are particles, too.
