Me too...
Did he try the different LD prefixes I mentioned? _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

No, it was getting very late- but I plan to try them this weekend. He'll be back monday to call the LD guys with me (isn't that nice?). In the meantime, I keep thinking of the sheer irony that all of this happened within hours of me sending out 'I have ISDN' announcements. Go figure. _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Well, using George's codes, I was able to go through Sprint and connect with Caryn and Bob (through Eric) successfully this morning.
Here's the crazy thing- I called MCI to make sure the lines were set up properly and was told they no longer provide support for voice/data lines. While they were all too happy to set this line up for me a month ago and take my money, when the circuit was switched an my line no longer worked- they have refused to help me.
Needless to say, I have just halted service with MCI and am now on the phone with Sprint. Wish me luck! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Oh, and I should add- Sprint customer service was fantastic- talked to a local woman who actually gave me her personal line in case there are further issues. There shouldn't be- she really knew her stuff. 1-3 days for the switch, and I'll be good to go! In the meantime, I can use the work around codes to make it happen.
I can't thank ALL of you enough for your help- you all really got this one right!
Thanks Deirdre for this fantastic place!! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

I know the rule about bringing up old threads- but I thought it would be important for anyone doing a search down the road to know the final outcome.
Indeed, it was my long distance company MCI. After canceling twice, I was still having issues- until I called a third time to see if they really had canceled my service with them. They hadn't. Apparently the only way to cancel long distance is to either switch to a new carrier or demand to cancel electronically (an automated message will talk you through the steps).
Once I finally got them off the line- all has been well since! 7 successful link-ups in a row, including 2 sessions that lasted over an hour.
It was a major process of elimination, but I am so happy to finally have this madness behind me! Thanks again to everyone for being so helpful and awesome!! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Great news, Kara! .gif" alt="W00T" border="0" />
I think the Old thread rule has to do with those over a month old, so you're in, no problem. Plus, this has been an ongoing problem so we're all happy to hear of the resolution!
May I comment on this, though

Diane- you ain't kidding!! I could start a whole thread about poor customer service. Lots of good reminders this past month about how NOT to run a business!
Thank you for the support - and may I add that the picture in the upper left hand corner is making me want to go get my matching VO-BB heart tank and put it on? Better yet, I'll save it for Saturday _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Yippee skippee... this is GREAT news!!! So glad it's working for you. I think this thread will prove valuable to others -- good thing you documented your issues here! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

Great thread. Glad you navigated through all that Kara. ISDN is such a great tool...sometimes you take it for granted when all is working well.
When it's not....ugh.
I just had a session yesterday, Mass to Cali that pointed that out for me.
I would dial in (I was producing this one) to the talent. Connect, Lock.
After a minute or so...one line would drop. After trying to redial we would both warm boot the boxes and hook up again...only to have it happen again.
I'm guessing it was a line issue but....that little PITA made what's usually a 10-15 minute session last almost 30 minutes. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.
