Quote: | A moderate earthquake shook a broad area of Northern California on Friday night, startling residents but causing little damage and no injuries.
The 10-second tremor, at 10:29 P.M., was felt throughout the San Francisco Bay area and from Monterey, 100 miles to the south, to Santa Rosa, 80 miles to the north. |
Didn't feel a thing down here in San Diego. _________________ "Bailey"

I was in an IRC chat room at one of the stations I work with and a user who lives in Long Beach suddenly went "Weeee! Earthquake!" and proceeded to give everyone live updates. Nothing like on the spot reporting. Said it was centered out in San Berdo...
So if what Bailey quoted also happened last night, it makes me wonder if the state is trying to solve its financial problems by having people swallowed up by the earth or something... hmmmm... _________________ Greg Littlefield

Happened to be out in the car with the kids when it happened. Didn't feel a thing and was surprised to hear about it. _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

As a temporary SoCal resident (until Saturday), I can report that I did indeed feel it. I'm on the 12th floor of a hotel in Glendale and it was rockin' and rollin'...
This was actually my first 4.5 mag earthquake... I've felt smaller ones in Hawaii, but that's about it.
