Okay, I went with a Shure SM7B. I like it!
For a dynamic it has a nice sound, and for certain kinds of reads I could see using this instead of a condenser.
Good mic to have around, I believe. |

Indeed.
I can run it near my computer without hearing the fans, the drive or interference from the CRT monitor. I have also traveled with it to rooms that were an acoustic nightmare and it only grabbed what I fed it.
I like mine so much, I treated it to an O.C. White studio boom arm yesterday.
(heck, it just looks better inverted with the yoke on top).
