While some of you may have already seen this, I HAD to share this screenshot of a script for an audition I did today.

Can YOU read this?

I only saw your thread title and wanted to scream then saw the actual script. I know that not everyone (and very few of my clients) look at things through VO colored eye glasses but come on now! Doc, yours takes the cake and I may just have to post it in the studio to look at next time I get frustrated over formatting.

this is strange, doc, but i opened the same audition and got it a standard font.

i'd noticed in some other things i opened with firefox that if i didn't have the exact font a doc was created in, my computer defaulted to something called "amhurst" which is a hard-to-read script. once i started digging around, i found it had somehow become the default go-to font for anything i didn't have in my computer. i changed the default to times roman and haven't seen the front problem since.

could this be part of the scenario in your case (upper case or lower?)?

Um, Donovan - why is the sky blue? Hehehe...

Moe - nope, no joke.

Kara - "Wow" indeed!

Liz - dunno yet, but it's right up my alley. I've done several real estate VO's.

And, Rowell - thanks for the suggestion, but this is not part of the problem. I happen to have this font and my default is, as is yours, Times New Roman.

But, I tell ya - this script sure made me laugh. And, laughter is a good thing.

Actually, I had no problem reading this, but then I taught elementary school for some years and often their research papers were handed in in similar fonts.

The version you got was actually easier to read than the one I got. When I opened the audition (on Voices.com) the copy I got was in 10 point Ariel or some similarly nondescript font. I normally just set up my mic in front of the computer screen and read the audition copy, but I had to copy that piece and paste it into Wordpad and enlarge it to 16 point type just to make it big enough to read off the screen.

Now that I've looked at it (tequila helps it look better) I like the idea of a food condominium. And an eating bar. What does it eat, I wonder?
