Thank you to everyone that submitted. You're all magnificent performers. Now I need to make 14 voices, 14 microphones, and 14 studio chains... all sound like the SAME one.

I like the edit... I just need to tweek the processing. I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

Here's the first draft.

Very nice job, Dave. I was planning on sending something this morning, but it appears you have all you need to make a great spot. Wonderful music choice, too.

I wonder how necessary it is to "tweak" at all. There's something special about how the voices each have their own sound in addition to a distinctly different voice. Remember, the audience who "hear these voices every day", also hear them with different processing, chains, mics, etc.

I'd get that puppy on the air pronto.

Very nice work Dave! The voices blend in so well. I'm looking forward to your final presentation.

Nice work.
Ask Kevin Genus about matching studios with more standardized gear.

I agree with Deirdre... next time count me in! Great opportunity to help others in need of help. Only just found out and editing is already in progress...

What happens in Darfur is high on the list of Dutch charity work. Last year Dutch national public popradiostation 3FM had 3 dj's locked up in a transparent studiobox doing their broadcasts titled "Serious Request" from there six days and nights in a row and out of solidarity all three of them didn't eat for a week to raise funds.

Last year they managed to collect well over a 900000 euros for the region, that's exceeding one million dollars US. This year the event will be held a second time.

I have goosebumps! I listened to it once and then immediately twice more. Nicely done, Dave! I relish hearing the melange. It's kind of like putting the face to the name....but, ya know, it's the VOICE.......................... Smile
(If it'd help your goal of matching voices and studio chains, I can send you my raw audio since what I delivered is slightly sweetened....)

Terrific Dave. Great job. I echo the goosebumps sentiment.

This was quite a learning experience for me. As a fledgling Voice Talker I practice and practice and get to thinking I am pretty darned good. However, I don't have anyting to directly compare with. After submitting my humble attempt and then listening to this, I can compare my take with the real pros. Quite a reality check. I think I'll be going back to practice some more. Maybe after 10 or 15 years I can be the next overnight sensation.

Dave,

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to take part in this important project. I think the first draft sounds fantastic.

I sent something a little late in case you decide to do more than one version. A little more lead time and you could have even more voices to choose from.
