Hey,

Because my home studio is a work in progress, I am currently renting a studio for my auditions that has a noise floor of about -30 dB before my fx chain brings it down below -60 dB. (I think the -30 dB roomtone doesn't sound too bad in this instance). For jobs that want to record using your remote studio, is it seen as unprofessional if, when I hypothetically booked a job using this studio, I then opted to rent a higher end studio with better noise floor before processing?

Listening on my tablet I hear nothing out of line on your raw take. The biggest difference in the “improved” take is a big reduction in mouth noise.

You can never go wrong offering a client a better recording environment, but if no one else hears anything off in your current setup I’d say let ‘er rip.
