Right now many sites are selling the MKH 50 for about $1,200, whilst the vaunted MKH 416 can be had for abut $1,000 or a bit less. There are comparison videos out there if you're interested. I'm thinking you can't go wrong either way.

I disagree...
the MKH 50 Does look cool. I've gotten so used to having one on my
boom it's the LDC's that don't look cool anymore
But what REALLY looks cool on the boom is a MiniCmit in Schoeps Blue with a Spacer Bubble! |
