I've said it before, and I'll say it again. At least I'll be dead soon.

Most of the reporting on it so far has been based on not having seen the actual agreement. SAG AFTRA just posted a link with more information on the topic a bit ago.

https://www.sagaftra.org/member-message-regarding-new-replica-studios-agreement

Maybe that answers some questions? I dunno. The actual agreement link is 404 at the moment. I'm looking forward to reading the whole thing before the FAQ and summary, of which those links are working.

It's not that bad, folks! Gossip, assumptions and speculations combined with social media is a recipe for chaos. Never use the trades as your union source of info. Get that from the union!

I read it. It's not really that different from some of the gossip I've seen. The AI advance is inevitable and I think this agreement is short sighted. Then again, I'm very pessimistic about almost everything for 2024. My only hope is a complete breakdown of society. I think I could become a regional warlord relatively quickly.

Watch this, people! Zeke not only does a great job of explaining how our various contracts are negotiated but he answers dozens of questions regarding The Replica AI SAG-AFTRA Agreement. Zeke is on my animation contract negotiation committee which we are about to go into, and I cannot be more thrilled to have him. As co-chair of this committee, a good leader surrounds himself with people who are smarter than they are. Zeke fits the bill! He knows AI and contract logistics backwards and forwards. This is a long video, but worth the time to view it! https://navavoices.org/2024/01/17/nava-zeke-alton-replica-studios-agreement-ama/?fbclid=IwAR14Hwx48YNPvmUL009ByBy3aaoaD-immROQ2YTAlORmJVMG3H-6KVdc4G8
