I bought the Universal Audio avalon 737 emulation a couple weeks ago. Haven't had time to mess around with it too much but knew that it's found in a lot of VO studios so was wondering if anyone could share their settings.
I know everyone's is gonna a bit different but some general starting settings would help in getting things going.
Thanks

For most people the 737 is a mystery of deep EQ options to a point that they don't know, and will likely never really figure out how to use it. I used to have the hardware 737 and always used it just for the mic pre, which was a waste of money. So I sold it and went back to a simple, no nonsense mic pre. I never EQ my tracks...just voice>mic>pre>1176>Pro Tools...which is what every client and editor I've ever worked with prefers.
Voice talents tend to want to over process their voice so it has that 'perfect and magical' sound in their ears when recording. But, in reality, editors prefer to do the tweaking at their end.

It's a piece of gear that I've coveted for years in either hardware ($$$) or software (I'm not in the UAD sphere) for the purposes of post-production of a variety of things.

I'd personally never use it when recording or exporting voiceover. Nobody I send things to wants anything pre-baked; they're going to do post production on their own in a way that matches whatever they're working on and raw audio is their preference.
