Hi Everyone( it's been a LONG Time )

I am trying, what the Pro Audio store, said is the current way of recording: going from the mic to Digital Interface/Codec , then straight to the computer. Verses the mic to the mixing board to the compressor to the Codec to the computer. Then in Post Recording doing the Compression etc.

I am trying this because my Compressor died out of nowhere. I'm also having a lot of other equipment problems , and have an audition that could be any day now that might be fairly profitable, so I want to send the best quality I can even, if it's on short notice with having equipment breakdowns.

I said all of that to ask, has anyone ever used a Mackie Onyx Artist 1.2 ?
