Every time I go to a VO Event in the USA and I meet someone with a profile I am subjected to the heavy artillery of their resume.
I see the wild staring eyes as they stand defiantly in front of me and in my head I hear the shout of my Sgt Major.
"INCOMING!"
When the full frontal assault ends I smile politely.
"How are you? Any idea?"
The voiceover market is BEYOND saturated to the extent that people are drowning in debt! Most voice over people should invest time and resources being customer-obsessed as opposed to competitor-obsessed.
FYI - On Wednesday I did a local UK radio commercial (Union Scale); that's £27.05 YOU Guys will never see! Think of me as the Jeff Bezos of Voice Over. |

Did you bother billing it this time? |

£27.05 will get you a damn fine curry, a couple of onion bahjis, a keema naan, and a healthy amount of mango chutney. (unless I'm seriously out-of-touch with the prices).
I'm pining for a good curry... my local establishment has been "temporarily closed" for a year or more. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Pretty much bang on target! Bengal Brasserie, Buckie. From memory, both Melissa and Deebs have sampled the menu on site. The takeaway is as good but the management appear to believe that by the time you get home you will need another 3,000 recovery calories. I make 'em last.
"PHILIP, who eats Indian food for breakfast?"
"About 1 billion people in India, two hungover students in Halls near Nuffield College Oxford and me! What's your point?" |

YES! That was excellent. EVERY place you've taken me for food there has been excellent. And yes, if you recall, I loved the black pudding - at wherever it was you took me that day. Even with the entire waitstaff waiting on my reaction. |
