|
|
I haven't done any commercial work for the past couple of years, due to my inability to guarantee that directed sessions wouldn't be suddenly interrupted by outside noise out of my control. But, as that situation now appears headed for improvement, I want to be prepared. However, I have no idea whether the commercial demo assembled several years ago is still suitable/competitive. What do you think? Thanks much. _________________ Mike

sounds great to my ear! i think the only portion that might be outdated is the south park segment if you were looking for being "with the times" but i'm not sure that would be a deal breaker. |

Your first clip has a definite senior sound and for those buyers who aren't looking for older, some will bail out right away. I say move it to the back or out all together and yes, drop the South Park clip. The rest is just fine.

Any time I hear an actor's demo is "several years" old, I advise doing a new demo. Demos are never complete as they are always a work in progress. But they need to be relevant. SouthPark is a really dated spot. It's in it's 23rd season and your demo reflects season 6 on DVD. In fact, I would lose any reference to DVD as that's a pretty dated technology these days. "Now streaming" would be more contemporary. Your reads are quite nice, though. |

Thanks, guys, for the great feedback.
Here's the revamped version (still open to comment, of course). _________________ Mike
