Share if you'd like what you're watching these days and where you're finding it.
"Inside No. 9" - A modern day "Twilight Zone" type show with great twists at the end of each episode. All 5 seasons are on BritBox, available through Amazon Prime for just $5 extra per month.

racing to get the most out the 30 days free signup on CBS All Access - Picard and Discovery. But at the end of 30 days, we're outta there. Same way we saw Mandalorian. |

A while back I got seriously hung up on LONGMIRE, a production based on a series of crime novels about an old-school sheriff in the modern west dealing with murders and such, complicated by the need to work with the border native American law enforcement.
the new reboot of LOST IN SPACE which does a good job taking the concept of a space colonisation mission that meets a major crisis. The Robinson family is all there, but very much more interesting... and dark,,,
A few specific episodes of BLACK MIRROR, an anthology show that explores all manner of story ideas...
- USS CALISTER... a Star Trek homage filtered through a dark lens with touches of Harlan Ellison...
- SAN JUNIPERO an incomprehensibly sublime science-fiction-inspired love story that is initially justifiably confusing, but is absolutely perfect.
The Magnificent Mrs Maizel... This is an absolutely brilliantly produced story, hard to quickly summarize, set in the late 50;'s following a young woman who finds she has an innate talent for stand-up comedy and how it destroys and changes her life and family... brilliant casting, performances, writing and simply astounding visual production.
most recently... BROCKMIRE... Hank Azaria portrays a sports play-by-play announcer who goes critical live, after finding his wife spectacularly cheating... he then spectacularly destroys his career and rebuilds it. Azaria is astounding as a no-holds-barred stadium announcer with NO FILTERS... _________________ SoundscenesDC, main talent and production offices just 385k km up the gravity well in LuNoHoCo Center, old satellite studios still bookable at the future site of Johnson City! |

I would second the Mrs. Maisel. Watched The Hunters as well and mostly liked it.
Believe it or not, I have been watching several episodes of The Love Boat as one of the local subchannels I get over the air is having a marathon of it this weekend. Funny to see again after all these years. _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

If you enjoy cooking shows (I live with a classically trained chef) head for Netflix where you'll find "Ugly Delicious" featuring famous and fun chef David Chang exploring the history and similarities of various dishes around the world. The movie "Chef" was directed by and featured Jon Favreau and now he's got a series called "Chef" on Netflix where he cooks great looking food with famous actors, directors, and chefs. Yes, this is the Jon Favreau who has directed or produced a bunch of the best superhero movies out there. He's the guy who has written and directed the "Mandalorian".
Boo hiss coronavirus! Who knows when we're going to get new episodes of that show and others with most productions on hold?! Argh.

Hey Todd, welcome to the over 50 crowd.
I think I know which one you mean. That was the guy who had that Netflix special a couple of years ago. Or was it Amazon? Yah, that one.
