Very nice! and still room next to the studio for a pool table? Because when I stop by, I'm totally up for a game.

You remembered the plans. Yes, that's next on the agenda.

FYI, Monk was extremely helpful through email communication with this project. Thanks again!!!

Mike Sommer would be proud... Excellent craftsmanship.
Oh to have the time, tools, talent, and inclination to spend it on such a project!

So it's finally done, done. Yahoo!! So glad, Rick. Love the podium you came up with.

Monk, I got to step inside a few months ago before the final touches were on. It's at least as good as the pictures look. Great vibe in there. You'll love it! Smile

Looking good! And great job on making it aesthetically pleasing. It is definitely motivating to work in a very professional looking environment rather than just a room full of random junk. Great work all around Smile

Vernon,

It was my studio he visited. In fact, Random Junk is the actual name for my studio.

To quote one Jeff Spicoli: "Awesome! Totally awesome!"

Great work, Rick. Excellent example of well-thought out planning and execution... not to mention a great eye for aesthetic design.

You should see MY studio right now. Aesthetics are planned in my mind...just need time and money to implement. So for now, I work in a random junk pile too LOL. In fact, one corner of my room is a pile of tools, one corner has screens and shelves leaning up against the wall and my desk has a box of loose lightbulbs, a bunch of papers and probably 15 pens (under everything) and the other side of the room has a few retail boxes, cord piles and a window air conditioner. I'll get around to it someday. I've at least taken steps to tidy all the piles up recently. Smile

Rick, you are an inspiration for sure!

There's ventilation but not a system, as in forced air. With all the sound remedies I've taken, noise coming through the vent is non existent, as the vent is virtually buried. However, should the need arise there is a contingency for a totally isolated forced air system. But I honestly don't think I'll ever need one.

Yeah, what the 45 respondents above me said. Now another reason for me to bop up to Portland for a visit.

This is fantastic!! As I redesign a whole new studio I will keep in mind that the finished product can be so beautiful. Congratulation.
