Nothing against Sammy and I certainly value what he's contributed to the VO community, but this site is a lot quicker and easier to navigate...for me.

Wow-- I still haven't heard from Sammy at all, so I really don't know what to do!

Zoiks.

Are we sure it's Sammy that renewed it?

Bill--

All the old postings are there.

The whole archive.

I'm rather amazed---and surely delighted that all that input didn't get vaporized.

Sorry DB,

It wasn't up when I checked it. last. That is amazing. Most domains are housed on a server and use DNS numbers to point a domain name to the content. So, if Sammy didn't delete it, the content should all be there.

Now we have TWO sites and a dead newsgroup! LOL Woot!

It's Sammy all right.

I checked the registrar info.

Wow.

addendum:

Got a letter from Sammy 11/23. He is fine, just swamped.

found this message on voiceartist.com Joan

Hi folks,

I'm looking for someone that's well versed in html and unix site hosting (to edit/update cgi scripts, etc.) and to help manage/re-design the voiceover cyberstation. If you're interested in helping to re-design and/or takeover as co-webmaster that would be great. Note: the pre-requisite is a good familiarity with html and updating/loading/editing cgi scripts on a unix host.

If this is you please email me at: sammyact@yahoo.com or sammyact@gmail.com

I can't pay per-se, but you'll obviously have prime space to promote your own voiceover biz as well as some cool software perks from me as my new best friend (I'll explain when you email me : )

thanks, sam

I have been in contact with Sam the past couple of days. We are working on a complete re-design for the very near future. The site will be faster loading and easier to navigate.

What do you want from the site? What would you like to take away from it. Please let me know as it will help Sam and I work on getting this thing back to where it should be.

Justin-- we can probably work in tandem-- if that's what Sammy would like. Sammy always had a nifty book list and links to all the contributors. I can easily host demos for critique here, and the phpBB message board is pretty comfy for everyone.

I'll be glad to be an auxiliary arm of Voiceartist.com.

DB, that sounds like it could be a workable plan. Sam and I need to chat about the future of VoiceArtist.com and what the long term vision is. Please contact me off-board at your convenience as I would like to help out on both sides of the fence.

For me it's about growth, and helping others do the same.
