I see that DB is the female version of Lars on the drums....what do you all play. Are you good or just hacking around a bit? Also what instruments do you have that may excite the masses?
Me, I sing, hack on the the guitar and drums...not too bad though. I used to lead music at my church, which had about 600 to 700 hundred (pretty contemporary) so I had to hold my own. I also play keys some...also a hack...can fake it really well. Oh and I play a killer triangle. Ed Grimley, look out!!
I have a Takamine acoustic (black, the old Garth guitar)
A Martin DR (Rosewood, sounds incredible)
A black Carvin electric and a Hot Rod Deluxe amp....
oh and a Korg Triton keyboard....I think that is all.....nope...one more....an old Ensoniq ASR10 sampling keyboard. Sorry all that junk may not excite the masses....but that is my list. _________________ Ben

Well, Ben, I sing (Queen is my favorite stuff to sing, I'm the only person my wife and friends know that can actually match Freddie note for note most of the time, or so they say). I also play the bass guitar. Been playing that for 10 years. Right now, I own a Cort 5 string and a Fender BXR 200 watt amplifier (they stopped making those about eight years ago). Last gig I played was on Halloween night in Toledo. After that gig, the band sort of disintegrated. The singer and drummer left to go back to their old band, so myself and our rhythm guitarist were left out in the cold. Yeah, it sucked.

Piano. No fancy keyboard here, just the same trusty upright I played as a kid. _________________ Mary |

I sing - they don't call me Singer for nuthin' ya know.
High soprano - can do opera if you want - love Broadway and standards - old fashioned - what can I do! One season sang with a community 'big' band - loved it and then for whatever reason, they never got back together.
Play the piano - one finger - one hand - takes too much concentration to do much more than that. _________________ Elaine

I too play the piano, but I've downgraded to a midi keyboard for now. Once upon a time I played saxophone. I also know about 5 chords on the guitar, and I have a dulcimer sitting in the corner gathering dust that I hope to master someday. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

Beneath appearance, I AM a drummer. In my appearance you'll see and hear electric bass, upright bass and, sometimes, guitar. I reluctantly sing, but I've been more into that lately as I've begun composing. The guys in one of the groups I play with insist, for some reason.
Actually, music IS my addiction. I only do everything else to perform or play or listen to music. Last night I caught Sergio Mendez at the Hollywood Bowl. Great show. Fantastic music.
Instruments:
Fender 5 string jazz bass w/ active pickups
Emimence portable upright bass
Martin guitar (or some type that I cannot recall)
Upright piano
Assorted percussion instruments
Congas
Harmonicas (in many keys)
Question:
How often do you play in public?
How often do you play?
I have about 2 active practice sessions with different group each week. And, another musican has taken me into her circle for public performances.
I usually practice daily. I normally play publically at least once a month.
Like I said: I am addicted and that's that.

I play kazoo, a Honer 2800 electric with APMC (autonomous pitch modulation control). Built my own case for it.
Actually, I was something of a child prodigy with the instrument:
And of course it's what brought my wife and me together. Here's a snapshot from the night we met and fell in love:
You can see why, can't you?
