I saw Bobby McFerrin in concert with our local symphony several years ago and he was absolutely amazing!

Of all the things he has ever done, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" is the one that least showcases his incredible talent, yet it is what he is best known for. Go figure.

Simply because it's a 'happy' throwaway pop tune. It's nice, but as you said, not what Bobby is known for Lee.

I've gotten to see him perform live - the second time I was the MC. When I was finished with my part, I found my seat and relaxed because I could just enjoy the show. Or so I thought! At one point he came out into the audience and was asking people to make particular sounds, and (lucky me! -not-) he put the mic up to my face and told me to do something (I can't remember what, I guess it's too traumatic to remember!). I have no idea if I was on pitch, but I got through it. Sheesh!
BUT - he is a really nice person and has a wonderfully warm way about him, as you can see from the first video. Really a sweet guy - and SO immensely talented! Just a pleasure and a joy to watch!
