Fascinating! I auditioned for this, and it was wild seeing the scripts. Thought it might be harder than easier for them to cast two people this time, since they were both played by the same guy before.
I had to get into a really dark and sad place to even come remotely close to playing Rick. It's an insane show, and I wish the two new actors great success.

Also related, as mentioned in the article, Kevin Afghani is really good as the new Mario and Lugi. He did some ads for Nintendo, so he probably showed off his chops while in the booth, as it were, to get the gig.
