It's OK. Just a little thin sounding compared to the black mic you had before. I've recorded on a number of TLM 103s over the years and was not terribly impressed. To each their own!

Works fine as a "stunt mic". My old U87 needs to be sent away again for another £480 repair so this will work as a mic for videos and a Stunt-Stunt mic. The dark grey Rode (NT1A ?) had a lovely big bottom, best value for money ever. Sadly, part of my voice when recorded with that mic, broke false teeth, the windows on old Volvos and compelled Hump back Whales to go to the cinema. |

I’ll bet those humptybacks have gone to see “Moby Dick 6: Savage Cetaceans” wherein they play the ultimate Squid Game … they eat them with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I really like it despite being used to hearing the U87 on you.
The 102 picks up less of the room ambience and computer noise and gets more of your mid/high frequencies clearly, but it's still delivering your bass voice when you drive it. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover
