Don’t know about you guys but a number of Western states want to stick with Saving Time. It starts getting dark here in Portland around 3 in the afternoon come December, dayum. And it’s so nice to have daylight well after 9 at night in June. Oh, and living in Arizona, which stayed on Standard Time all year, made it a pain to schedule sessions across time zones … too much mental math for some people.

It would take an act of Congress to change anything…. like that could happen these days.

Washington State was waiting to see if something on the floor in Congress passed and it stalled so they intended to pass it at the state level. It had all the support to do so and then it got tabled when the lockdowns hit. It's apparently still an agenda item for when things settle down. Hopefully.

I will admit though, when the older kid gets on the bus at 7:15am and it's actually slightly light outside, the parental side feels a bit better about it. That's mostly selfish though.
