I share your distain for worthless inspirational quotes... and the people who feel that they actually make the world (or their own image) better by posting them. I used to hate them pinned up on office walls... I hate them even more when spewed all over social media.
Mind you, making (or more likely, re-posting) a jpeg with a classy font against a soothing sunset background really does make all the difference.
(excuse me, I must wipe the vitriol off the keyboard... damn stuff gets everywhere!)
This time next year, I hope we'll be looking at Marty accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award from SoVAS.
