I can't seem to find a scissor arm that is listed as compatible with a Sennheiser MKH416m Just got a new booth and would rather not use a floor or desk stand. Know of any products that would work?

LUXO makes one that has no exposed springs. Attractive and modern appearance. The 416 is so lightweight mounted on this arm it's kinda like the tail wagging the dog. Very sturdy product.

I use a Heil/Luxo arm with a 2-pound ankle weight wrapped around it at the mic end.

Here's one on EBay.

And I have a (color matched) metal bar zip-tied on mine to add that weight/balance cool

I use a Luxo with no extra weight. Maybe it’s because the 416 is such a “heavyweight” part of my recording arsenal.

I use the Rode PSA-1 and I have my XLR coiled and strapped to the arm for weight. I like the idea of a different weight though. I also like having a floor stand so that it isn't touching the desk or the walls of the booth so I have the small downward extension on the bottom of the stand just sitting in a floor mounted boom mic stand with the boom arm removed (making it just an open hole).

The Gator Frameworks 3000 is a really slick, good looking, sturdy arm.

I use a Rode PSA-1 with my Rode NTG3.

I'm ALL RODE. NTG3, NT1, Procaster. I don't use their interface, but maybe I should, heheheh.

The PSA-1 works great with the Procaster, which is heavy as a brick.

Blue Compass is nice, quiet, no springs, good tension adjustment that holds a 416 in place just fine.

I wanted to have a boom arm for my 416 and a matching one for my WA87 so I started looking at options again. I found a KILLER boom arm. This one is amazing. Built in cable routing that looks awesome. SUPER stable for either a heavier mic or light mic like the 416 (comes with an additional counterweight if needed that just disappears onto the stand). Includes a riser if you want it to go over the top of a monitor. It stays exactly where you put it. And IMO one of the most important things, it doesn't resonate with sound.

Even the PSA1 with its hidden springs resonated with certain tones and I could hear it. The one is pretty much perfect if you ask me. I have whichever mic I want out in front of my face and the one I'm not using tucked hidden behind my monitors.

Sweetness! I've been using 2 of them for the last month and they are POIFECT Smile I use one of their little 4k USB capture cards for streaming and video stuff. Definitely making some quality gear.
